Manila, July 13 -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has released PHP45.88 million worth of humanitarian assistance to communities affected by the enhanced southwest monsoon and Typhoon Inday, an agency official said Monday.

As of 6 a.m., the DSWD has distributed 54,902 family food packs; 1,732 non-food items; and 6,094 ready-to-eat food packs to affected communities, according to the Disaster Response Operations Monitoring and Information Center (DROMIC).
