DSWD provides P192-M aid in sustained relief ops in Southern Mindanao
Manila, June 16 -- To ensure the continuous and efficient delivery of assistance to individuals affected by the magnitude 7.8 earthquake in Southern Mindanao, the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) has intensified its delivery of relief goods and deployment of personnel in hard-hit areas.
Based on the 6 a.m. report of the Disaster Response Operations Management, Information and Communication (DROMIC), the DSWD has provided a total of PHP192.8 million worth of humanitarian aid to 339,135 families or 1,416,721 individuals from 527 barangays across Region 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula), Region 11 (Davao), Region 12 (Soccsksargen), and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
