Manila, Sept. 28 -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) on Monday underscored the importance of strong Filipino families in promoting children's well-being and building a better future.

The DSWD made the call during its flag-raising ceremony at the DSWD Central Office in Quezon City amid the observance of National Family Week 2026.

During the program, DSWD Operations Group Undersecretary Monina Josefina Romualdez reminded department employees of their role in strengthening Filipino families.
