BUTUAN CITY, June 15 -- Since its deployment the day after the magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck General Santos City and the nearby provinces on June 8, the Department of Social Welfare and Development-Caraga (DSWD-13) mobile kitchen and staff have served hundreds of internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Glan, Sarangani.

On Monday morning, DSWD-13 personnel provided hot meals to 195 IDPs staying at Glan Central Integrated SPED Center.

"The provision of hot meals was facilitated in collaboration with the DSWD Field Office Davao," the DSWD-13 said in a statement.

On Sunday, about 1,000 IDPs were also provided with lunch by DSWD-13 personnel through its mobile kitchen inside the tent city in Glan.
