DSWD-11 mobilizes aid for 16 families hit by Marilog landslide
DAVAO CITY, July 27 -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development in Davao Region (DSWD-11) reported Monday that over PHP2 million in standby funds will support relief operations for families affected by a landslide in Barangay Marahan, Marilog District here.
The agency said the resources include 177,214 family food packs and other non-food items for immediate distribution.
The landslide on July 19, triggered by localized thunderstorms, affected 16 families or 60 individuals, all of whom are still staying at an evacuation center.
The incident also damaged nine houses.
