Manila, May 2 -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) vowed to complete this year the access road which will connect nine villages in Cabanatuan City to the Central Luzon Link Expressway (CCLEX).

Secretary Vince Dizon said President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. ordered the DPWH to prioritize access road projects.

"The City of Cabanatuan paved this road. We owe it to the city to do our share," he said during his visit to the component city of Nueva Ecija on Friday.

"It is really important for both local and national (government) to have coordination. We will make it happen."

Dizon said several projects in the province have been stalled for lack of funding.

"We will fund the construction of these projects," he said.
