TACLOBAN CITY, Aug. 3 -- The Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) has completed the retrofitting and strengthening of the Pinamitinan Bridge in Capoocan, Leyte, along the Palo-Carigara-Ormoc Road.

Implemented by the DPWH Leyte 2nd District Engineering Office, the project was funded under the Bridge Program - Retrofitting and Strengthening of Permanent Bridges through the 2026 budget.

The PHP5.213 million project started on May 11, 2026, and was completed on July 22, 2026.

The 23.4-meter Pinamitinan Bridge is among the vital national bridges maintained by the DPWH. It is a key link along the Palo-Carigara-Ormoc Road.
