Manila, June 11 -- All ships going to and from Makar Wharf in General Santos City, Sarangani, have been rerouted to Malalag Port in Davao del Sur to ensure continued passenger and cargo transport in the region.

In a statement on Thursday, Acting Transportation Secretary Giovanni Lopez said the move is in line with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.'s order to ensure uninterrupted economic activity and service to passengers following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that hit the region on Monday.
