Manila, Aug. 11 -- Department of Science and Technology (DOST) Secretary Renato Solidum, Jr. is advocating anticipatory governance, saying this would not just boost preparedness but also help improve lives.

In a news release on Tuesday, Solidum cited several concerns where anticipatory governance is crucial, such as the increasing commodity prices.

This, he said, underscores the need for science-based, technology-driven solutions that can strengthen food production, improve supply chain efficiency and anticipate disruptions before they become crises.
