Manila, Oct. 29 -- The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) is simplifying the Alien Employment Permit (AEP) application process and streamlining frontline services.

Department Order No. 248-C, Series of 2026, signed by Labor Secretary Francis Tolentino on Tuesday, reduced documentary requirements, shortened processing time, and made the application process more convenient for employers and foreign nationals.

Under the new rules, DOLE is no longer requiring applicants to submit certain permits, licenses, and proof of application from government agencies when filing, but compliance with the laws of those agencies remains mandatory.
