Manila, March 30 -- An official of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on Monday said the government continues to provide emergency employment assistance to workers affected by the impact of the Middle East conflict.
Assistant Secretary Lennard Serrano, DOLE spokesperson, said one of these programs is the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD).
"TUPAD is intended to provide emergency employment assistance for the vulnerable, marginalized, displaced workers. We will also look at those who need immediate assistance.
