LEGAZPI CITY, March 24 -- The Department of Health in Bicol (DOH-5) on Tuesday reminded the public to observe a safe and healthy Holy Week as large crowds are expected to gather in churches and other public places.
In a health advisory, DOH-5 encouraged taking up precautionary measures to prevent illnesses and accidents during the Lenten season.
To avoid heat-related illnesses such as heat stroke, the agency advised the public to stay hydrated, use protective gear like hats or umbrellas when outdoors, avoid alcoholic and caffeinated drinks, and limit exposure to extreme heat.
