DMW brings anti-trafficking awareness to Bukidnon
CAGAYAN DE ORO CITY, July 17 -- The Department of Migrant Workers in Northern Mindanao (DMW-10) on Friday cautions prospective overseas jobseekers on the dangers of illegal recruitment in Malaybalay City, Bukidnon.
During an orientation, DMW-10 Officer-in-Charge Emmanuel Toledo said in his message that the launch of the Anti-Illegal Recruitment and Trafficking in Persons (AIRTIP) advocacy campaign across the region affirms the government's mandate to prevent new jobseekers from becoming victims.
"It's our mission not only to help Filipinos find jobs outside the country, but also to secure their rights and safety," Toledo said, as read by DMW-10 lawyer Francis Andrew Paduganan.
