Manila, Oct. 23 -- American instant messaging and voice communication platform Discord is willing to hire a Philippine law firm to serve as its local representative as the government seeks to strengthen accountability among online platforms.

The Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC) said the proposal was discussed during a meeting between CICC officials, led by Executive Director Undersecretary Renato Paraiso, and Discord Senior Public Policy Advisor for Asia-Pacific Vasundhara Singh on Thursday at the CICC headquarters in Quezon City.
