Manila, Sept. 24 -- The Senate impeachment court's new interpretation of the voting threshold in Vice President Sara Z. Duterte's trial will not automatically bind future impeachment courts confronting a similar dispute, House prosecutor Chel Diokno of Akbayan Party-list said Thursday.

"I think 'yung usually na paggamit ng pro hac vice (for the present occasion), para lang i-emphasize na ito ay para dito lang at hindi ito puwedeng gamitin sa mga susunod pa kung meron mang mga impeachment proceedings (I think the usual use of pro hac vice is just to emphasize that it is only for this and cannot be used for succeeding impeachment proceedings)," Diokno said in a press briefing.
