Manila, March 12 -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government in Western Visayas (DILG-6) will issue a memorandum for local government units to reactivate their local price coordinating council (LPCC) amid the Middle East crisis.
The move was an offshoot of the inter-agency consultation meeting for fuel price monitoring and anti-hoarding measures convened by DILG-6 and attended by key partner agencies on March 9.
Regional Legal Officer Junine Wednesday Java, in a phone interview on Thursday, said specific roles were discussed, with the DILG monitoring the activation of the local price coordinating council.
