DILG pushes stronger ASEAN police vs. cybercrime, transnational crime
Manila, July 23 -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) on Thursday batted for more cooperation among the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) police forces amid the growing transnational crime threats, particularly cyber-enabled scams and online fraud, as it opened the 44th ASEANAPOL Conference in the Philippines at the Marriott Hotel in Newport, Pasay City.
With the theme "United in Vision: Securing People and Strengthening Collaboration," the 44th ASEANAPOL Conference, taking place from July 22 to 26, brings together police leaders from the 10 ASEAN member states to reinforce partnerships and collective action against regional security threats.
