Manila, Oct. 14 -- Ease of doing business is seen to get a boost from the proposed ASEAN Digital Economy Framework Agreement (DEFA), set to be signed in November during the 49th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in Manila.

This was stressed by Jay Yuvallos, chairperson of the East Asia Business Advisory Council for 2026, in one of the panel discussions on the second of the two-day 52nd Philippine Business Conference and Expo at Manila Hotel on Wednesday.

Yuvallos explained that there are three flows in trade, namely goods and services flows, data and information and financial flow.
