Manila, June 10 -- The Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) on Wednesday launched a massive two-day mediation drive to fast-track the resolution of pending housing disputes and strengthen consumer protection across the Calabarzon region.

The initiative, led by DHSUD Undersecretary Odilon Pasaraba and Regional Director Ling Rigor, serves as a major component of the department's ongoing efforts to safeguard the welfare of property consumers in the area.

"Forming part of the Department's Zero Backlog Program, the initiative aims to provide faster, more accessible, and cost-effective dispute resolution services while strengthening consumer protection in the housing sector," the agency said in a public advisory.
