Manila, April 20 -- The Department of Education (DepEd) has highlighted the value of science and technology, as well as artistry in all its forms, among the Filipino youth as it officially opened the 2026 National Festival of Talents (NFOT) at the Dinggoy Roxas Civic Center in Roxas City, Capiz, on Sunday.

The NFOT is a nationwide competition among learners in both public and private schools from 18 regions, featuring mastery in real-world skills application and performance-based output.

Education Secretary Sonny Angara said the festival provides Filipino learners with the opportunity to translate their talents into future careers.
