Manila, Sept. 3 -- The Department of Education (DepEd) on Thursday lauded the Office of the President and the Department of Budget and Management for upgrading the salaries of promoted teachers and personnel.

The DBM approved the release of PHP8.68 billion worth of salary differential for the reclassified positions under the Expanded Career Progression (ECP) system.

In a Viber message, DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara expressed his gratitude to the country's chief executive for advancing the welfare and better compensation for eligible personnel.
