Manila, Sept. 8 -- The Senate impeachment court on Tuesday gave Vice President Sara Duterte's defense team 15 days to respond to 104 requests for admission filed by House prosecutors as they prepare their case on the unexplained wealth allegations.

Presiding officer Francis "Chiz" Escudero granted the period under Rule 26 of the Rules of Court after defense counsel Michael Poa sought the full 15 days provided under the rule, instead of the shorter period proposed by the prosecution.

"The Chair gives the respondent 15 days from today to file their comment on the 104 requests for admission under Rule 26," Escudero said.
