Manila, Sept. 12 -- Defense Secretary Gilberto Teodoro Jr. on Saturday rallied the reserve force in helping the country protect its land and maritime domains.

Speaking at the culmination of the 47th National Reservist Week at Camp Aguinaldo in Quezon City, Teodoro called on reservists to fulfill their role in force and mission replication and support.

"Since we have a gap in our capabilities, we ask the help of our reservists in the maritime domain, in the land domain, on our coastal and island provinces in the Pacific Ocean to extend a hand," he said in his remarks.
