Manila, April 6 -- The Department of Agriculture (DA) on Monday officially rolled out an appointment system for the sale of PHP20 per kilo of rice at the Bureau of Animal Industry (BAI) in Quezon City.
DA Assistant Secretary Genevieve Guevarra said the new system aims to streamline operations and eliminate long queues.
The Food Terminal Inc. (FTI), a government-owned and controlled corporation under the DA, explained that while a limited number of walk-in buyers will still be accommodated, the majority will be given specific schedules.
Qualified beneficiaries may register for a slot through official online link: https://bit.ly/P20BAI. Sales are conducted 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., Monday to Friday.
