MALASIQUI, June 12 -- The Department of Agriculture-Ilocos Region Field Office (DA-FO1) has been implementing mitigation measures in preparation for the possible impacts of the El Nino phenomenon.

DA-FO1 project evaluation officer Milagros Dela Cruz, in a forum on Thursday, said among these measures are the validation, monitoring, and information dissemination.

"We have the continuous and ongoing validation of planting targets and per unit monitoring of the standing crops. At the same time, we are conducting information dissemination through our social media platforms and radio blogs, meetings and fora," she said.
