DA chief vows completion of P132-M DavSur fish port by February 2027
DAVAO CITY, July 13 -- The PHP132.1 million Malalag Municipal Fish Port (MFP) in Barangay Baybay, Malalag, Davao del Sur, is expected to be completed by February 2027, the Department of Agriculture in Davao Region (DA-11) bared Monday.
Agriculture Secretary Francisco P. Tiu Laurel Jr. inspected the site on July 13 to assess status of work and highlight the project's role in strengthening the country's fisheries sector. Implemented by the Philippine Fisheries Development Authority (PFDA), the project has a total cost of PHP132.18 million.
Phase 1, worth PHP37.31 million, has been completed, while Phase 2, amounting to PHP94.87 million, is ongoing.
