Manila, Feb. 25 -- A ranking military official on Wednesday said naval and air patrols of the country have experienced "interference" in their communications and sensor systems while conducting patrols in the West Philippine Sea (WPS).

In an interview with reporters, Philippine Navy (PN) spokesperson for the WPS Rear Adm. Roy Vincent Trinidad was asked if PN ships and aircraft have experienced losing their Starlink internet connection, similar to what the Coast Guard had reported earlier in the week, when patrolling near Bajo de Masinloc.

"What has been on record is the interference in our communication systems and the different sensors of our ships and aircraft when we do patrols in the WPS and Bajo de Masinloc," he said.
