Manila, Aug. 8 -- The printing of more than 400,000 official ballots for the Aug. 29 special polls for the Fourth Legislative District of Dasmarinas City in Cavite was completed on Sarurday, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said.

"Printing has been completed. We have achieved 100% completion, with a total of 447,387 official ballots," Comelec Chairperson George Garcia said in a statement.

"The next things to do are sheeting, cutting, and stitching," he added.

The printing began on Friday at the National Printing Office in Quezon City.

The special polls will be held to fill the vacancy left by Francisco Barzaga Jr., who was removed from office in June due to "disorderly behavior, conduct unbecoming of a member, and violations of ...
