Manila, Aug. 26 -- Coconut lumber, shells, roots, and fibers once again take center stage as the Coconut Palace offers visitors a closer look at National Artist Francisco "Bobby" Manosa's distinctive vision of Filipino tropical architecture.

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) on Wednesday said the Pasay City landmark showcases how indigenous and locally sourced materials can be transformed into both structural and decorative elements reflecting Filipino craftsmanship.

Formally known as "Tahanang Pilipino", the palace was designed to demonstrate the versatility of coconut as a construction material while drawing heavily from traditional Filipino architectural forms.
