Davao City, June 8 -- Classes and work across all levels, both public and private, are suspended in the Davao Region following the magnitude 7.8 earthquake that struck Mindanao on Monday.

The provinces of Davao Occidental, Davao Oriental and Davao del Norte declared suspensions.

In Davao del Sur, Digos City and the municipalities of Bansalan, Matanao and Magsaysay also halted work and classes.

Davao City and the Island Garden City of Samal (IGACOS) likewise issued suspension orders.

In Davao de Oro, the municipalities of Mawab, Pantukan, Montevista, New Bataan, Compostela, Mabini, Maco, Laak, Nabunturan and Maragusan suspended work and classes.
