Manila, April 15 -- The Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) arrested 311 suspects, including most wanted persons and fugitives, and seized PHP816 million worth of illegal goods in operations from April 6 to 12.
In a statement Wednesday, CIDG chief Maj. Gen. Robert Morico II said the gains were made under Oplan OLEA (Other Law Enforcement Activities), targeting crime and illicit trade.
Authorities confiscated illegal and counterfeit items such as unauthorized LPG products, fake medicines, unregistered vape products, and smuggled cigarettes.
Under the campaign against wanted persons, 152 individuals were arrested by virtue of warrants for offenses including murder, rape, carnapping with homicide, and theft, among others.
