Manila, Sept. 26 -- President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. capped a busy week with key developments in trade, elections, executive clemency, fuel prices, and healthcare, while advancing infrastructure development, strengthening international partnerships, and improving public services.

Marcos on Tuesday spoke by phone with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen following the conclusion of negotiations for a free trade agreement (FTA) between the Philippines and the European Union (EU).

The FTA is expected to create more opportunities for businesses and investments, generate jobs, and diversify supply chains.
