Manila, Aug. 14 -- The government has generated over PHP7.4 million from the auction sale of seized and forfeited goods, the Bureau of Customs (BOC) reported Friday.

In a social media post, the BOC - Port of Manila said the public sale conducted by the Auction and Cargo Disposal Division in July generated a total of PHP4,749,450.

During the first auction on July 14, two sale lots consisting of whisky bottles, a prefabricated house, and mobile food carts were successfully awarded to qualified bidders, generating PHP3,964,250 in proceeds through a competitive and transparent bidding process.
