Manila, March 27 -- The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Friday declared a failed bidding for the auction of 11 luxury vehicles after no bidders showed up for the scheduled sale.

The BOC Auction Committee announced the outcome during proceedings held at the Situation Room on the ground floor of the Office of the Commissioner (OCOM) building in Port Area, Manila.

Lawyer Jann Obillos, head of the committee, said Customs Administrative Order No. 03-2020 states that an auction should be declared as failed bidding in the event that no bid was received.

"I, together with the members of the Auction Committee present today, hereby declared this public auction failed due to the absence of registered bidders," Obillos said.
