Manila, May 9 -- The Port of Batangas has been recognized for its strong performance by recording a surplus in its revenue collection and innovative practices.

Based on preliminary data, the Port of Batangas generated approximately PHP22.21 billion in collections in March against a target of PHP19.16 billion, resulting in a remarkable surplus of PHP3.05 billion for the month alone, according to a Bureau of Customs (BOC) news release Saturday.

For the first quarter of 2026, the Port likewise exceeded its revenue goal, collecting approximately PHP59.14 billion against its PHP58.75 billion target, reflecting a surplus of PHP398 million.
