Manila, June 24 -- Prosperidad Bishop Ruben Labajo has joined the family of Ateneo men's basketball rookie Rene Clert "Bobet" Baterbonia in seeking the truth over his death during a team-building activity early this month.

Baterbonia was laid to rest on Wednesday in his hometown in Talacogon, Agusan del Sur.

"Let us pray that the truth will finally prevail and be known to everyone. Let us continue to ask and seek the truth together with prayer," he said in his homily during the Holy Mass held for Baterbonia at the Talacogon Municipal Gymnasium.

The Catholic prelate urged the loved ones and friends of Baterbonia to seek comfort from God.
