Manila, Sept. 17 -- The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Thursday confirmed the implementation of the Hold Departure Order (HDO) issued by the Sandiganbayan against former Speaker Martin Romualdez, Felicito Cristobal Guevarra, former Rep. Elizaldy "Zaldy" Co and Joselyn Serenio.

In a statement, the BI said Romualdez and Guevarra remain in the Philippines, while Co and Serenio have departed the Philippines prior to the issuance of the HDO.

It added that it will continue to strictly enforce the HDO and undertake appropriate immigration measures within its mandate.
