Manila, Sept. 23 -- The provincial government of Benguet and the Baguio City government have declared special nonworking holidays for teachers and other school personnel in recognition of their contributions to education.

Benguet Gov. Melchor Diclas, through Executive Order 2026-73, declared Sept. 25, 2026, a special nonworking day for teaching and non-teaching personnel in public and private schools across the province in observance of National Teachers' Month.

Diclas said the holiday recognizes the contributions of teachers and other education personnel in shaping the country's future generations.
