Baguio launches hotline, app for complaints vs 'snub taxis'
BAGUIO CITY, July 23 -- The city government is urging passengers to report taxi drivers who refuse to accept passengers.
Mayor Benjamin Magalong on Thursday said residents should report erring drivers through Baguio 911 so authorities can take appropriate action.
"We need to report so that the practice of some taxi drivers choosing passengers will stop. This is also for our safety and to ensure reliable public transportation in Baguio," Magalong said.
He said passengers may simply dial 911 while within Baguio, as the emergency hotline is geotagged and connected directly to the city's central command center.
