Manila, Sept. 28 -- The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) has approved a PHP213.7 million investment plan for 2027 to strengthen the city's disaster preparedness, mitigation and response capabilities, an official said Monday.

The plan allocates PHP149.59 million for disaster risk reduction and management programs and PHP64.11 million for the Quick Response Fund, said Charles Carame, chief of the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office.

"[We] have approved a PHP213.7-million local DRRM Financial Investment Plan for 2027 to further boost our resilience and disaster readiness," Carame said in an interview.
