Manila, Sept. 7 -- This highly urbanized city on Monday launched its own call center, dubbed "BCD Hotline," dedicated to quickly addressing the basic services-related concerns of residents.

The centralized service hotline (034) 479-6100 is designed to respond to issues that can be acted upon by concerned departments and offices.

In a press conference, Mayor Greg Gasataya said he believes that Bacolodnons should have to call one number only to reach the city government for their concerns.

"When we conceptualized this, I thought that we should have a hotline. 6100 is the zip code of Bacolod City," he added.
