Aussie investors visit PH to explore possible energy, infra deals
Manila, Sept. 8 -- Four leading Australian institutional investors are set to explore new investment opportunities in energy, infrastructure, and other strategic sectors in the Philippines, the Australian Embassy in Manila said on Tuesday.
The embassy said senior representatives from AustralianSuper, IFM Investors, Macquarie Asset Management, PentagreenCapital and Plenary Group-with a combined AUD1.4 trillion in assets under management-will conduct a business mission to Manila from Sept. 8 to 9.
Australian Ambassador to the Philippines Marc Innes-Brown said the visit forms part of Canberra's broader investment strategy in Southeast Asia, which seeks to facilitate a "significant increase" in Australian investment into the country.
