Manila, Sept. 11 -- A court in Isabela City, Basilan province has denied the bid of Hadji Muhtamad Mayor Arsina Kahing Nanoh and her co-accused to reinvestigate the criminal cases against them and recall their warrants of arrest over murder and frustrated murder charges.

In an order dated Sept. 10, Regional Trial Court Branch 2 Presiding Judge Joseph Wee Sit denied the twin "Very Urgent Motions for Reinvestigation and to Recall Warrant of Arrest."

The court also lifted its Aug. 24 order temporarily stopping law enforcement agencies from implementing the warrants.

"The warrant of arrest issued against the accused in this case is declared in full force and effect," the court ruled.
