ZAMBOANGA CITY, July 22 -- The Army's 32nd Infantry Battalion (32IB) distributed 5,000 assorted school supplies to Etub-Etub Elementary School in Sumisip, Basilan, during a Wednesday outreach program, demonstrating its resolute commitment to education, child welfare and community development.

In a statement, Lt. Col. Gerwin Maghuyop, 32IB commander, said the outreach activity benefited more than 350 learners from Kindergarten to Grade 6 at Etub-Etub Elementary School, including Madrasah (Islamic) school students.

"The donated school supplies include notebooks, ballpens, and pencils, providing students with essential learning materials as they continue their education," Maghuyop said.
