Manila, Aug. 17 -- The Philippine National Police (PNP) welcomed the signing of the implementing rules and regulations (IRR) of the Anti-POGO Act of 2025 as authorities step up efforts to prevent the return of illegal gaming operations in the country.

Reaffirming the PNP's commitment to eradicating Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs), PNP Chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. said the new regulations would provide police with a clearer framework for pursuing clandestine hubs that continue to operate despite the government ban.
