American linked to $2-B healthcare scam arrested
Manila, June 20 -- The Bureau of Immigration (BI) on Saturday reported the arrest of an American national tagged as a high-priority target by the United States' Federal Bureau of Investigation.
The BI identified the foreigner as Herbert Leon Kimble, 60, who was arrested in a commercial area in Pasig City by Fugitive Search Unit agents, together with government intelligence officers, on Thursday, according to a news release over the weekend.
The American was the subject of a federal arrest warrant issued by the US District Court in South Carolina for allegedly orchestrating a healthcare scheme that defrauded government-funded healthcare programs of more than USD2 billion.
