Manila, March 3 -- The Philippine Air Force and Philippine Navy are preparing assets in case the government orders the repatriation of overseas Filipino workers (OFWs) amid the Middle East conflict.
"We are (now preparing) our assets in case (there is a need) to repatriate our Filipino nationals. This will be done in coordination actually with (the) DFA (Department of Foreign Affairs), the DMW (Department of Migrant Workers) and the DND (Department of National Defense)," PAF spokesperson Col. Ma. Christina Basco said in a press briefing Tuesday.
She said once tapped to assist in the repatriation, PAF may deploy its Air Mobility Command aircraft, including C-130s.
