AFP warns public vs. socmed posts using Brawner image for protests
Manila, June 7 -- The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) on Saturday reminded the public not to be misled by social media posts reportedly circulating with the image of military chief Gen. Romeo Brawner Jr., which call for participation or help in some political activities and mass protests.
In a message to reporters, the military said these social media posts are "unauthorized and do not reflect the position of the AFP."
However, the statement did not specify which group or groups are using Brawner's images for this purpose.
