Manila, Aug. 29 -- As the country continues to grapple with pressing challenges, President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. concentrated on providing swift aid to Filipinos, particularly disaster victims, while advancing initiatives aimed at strengthening the health and agriculture sectors.

The President focused his attention on areas submerged in floodwaters for nearly a month due to torrential rains caused by the Super El Nino, recent typhoons, and the enhanced southwest monsoon.

He began the week on Monday by visiting an evacuation center in Bacolor, Pampanga to check on the condition of flood victims and oversee ongoing relief and recovery efforts for affected residents.
