BUTUAN CITY, June 2 -- Sixty-eight out of 73 local government units (LGUs) in the Caraga Region have adopted the Electronic Local Government Unit (e-LGU) digital platform, a software designed to streamline and automate public services, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT-13) said Tuesday.

Of the 68 adopters, representing 93 percent of the region's local governments, the platform is already operational in 53 LGUs, while 11 are on pilot testing. Four LGUs are still undergoing administrative training and system setup, according to DICT-13 data.

Among Caraga's six cities, Butuan and Bayugan are implementing their own digital platforms similar to e-LGU, while Surigao City is establishing its own digital system....
